Our accredited Pharmacist offers this service in conjunction with Allergy UK. A 20-30 minutes consultation is the major part of the service, after which it is likely that an offending allergen is identified or a follow up blood sample test can be performed. The pharmacist provides information and backup material from Allergy UK and also advice on an action plan to minimise the effects experienced. This service applies to animal, environmental and true food allergies. Food intolerance can be suspected and a separate service offered.

When there is an accredited Pharmacist on duty we can provide the Emergency Contraceptive Pill where appropriate and following a consultation in private facilities.The pharmacist will also provide advice on longer term family planning and sexually transmitted disease and refer to other agencies or the GP. This service is provided by Abertawe BroMorgannwg Trust and adheres to their service specification and ongoing monitoring

During our opening hours we will be able to provide a dispensing service for your NHS prescription, whether it is from your Doctor, Dentist or Prescribing Pharmacist or Nurse. In addition we dispense private and veterinary prescriptions (ask you vet for a prescription- they may charge for this) We have a fully computerised patient medication records system, which stores all your medication records and alerts the pharmacist to possible drug interactions whether prescribed or bought over the counter. Naturally, information held about patients is confidential and covered by the Data Protection Act. In the unlikely event that we do not have a particular drug in stock, usually we will obtain it for you the same day. We can deliver this to you if more convenient. NEW! We are now able to scan your prescription details electronically by scanning the barcode on the prescription. Combined with our Robotic dispensing system this makes for a very safe and fast service.

We all know smoking is very harmful to our health but giving up can be hard.Our Pharmacists and technicians can give you counselling about stopping smoking. We can also dispense Stop Smoking Wales vouchers which enable you to obtain anti-smoking products from the pharmacy such as nicotine replacement patches, gum and nasal sprays. These are free of charge.
